About Us: René

René Talbot, LPC

René began her career working with survivors of trauma, by witnessing the life-long impacts that trauma and grief can have on a person. She received her clinical training in inpatient and residential VA settings and later received a fellowship to work with veterans and their families in a community-based clinic. As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), René is an advocate for persons with disabilities and encourages
self-advocacy, good-sports-person-like-conduct, and work-life balance. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), she specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),
persistent depression and anxiety, substance use, suicidal thoughts, anger management, and the impacts of justice involvement.

René graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is pursuing a doctorate degree in Bexar County. When not at the office or studying, she can be found on horseback in the mountains, on the mat, tending to her garden, or engaging in the random snowball fight.
